Adam Chatburn is originally from the UK and moved to BC in 2008. He ran Real Cask at Callister Brewing, and was President of CAMRA Vancouver, the craft beer consumer advocacy organisation. Adam taught the brewing program at SFU and was a Beer Journalist for a number of publications. He moved to Comox to create the NIC Brewing program in 2020. For 5 years Adam has had the privilege of teaching the Craft brewing Program at North Island College. Each year students collaborate with local breweries learning the hands-on skills needed to start their own careers.
As a celebration of their graduation we are proud to have all of the beers created by the students during the program, served to you by them. Some of the beers are one-off creations, others are award-winning recipes. The range of styles and serving techniques are all taught in the class so please ask the students, or me, any questions. Beers will be served from bottles, kegs, cans, and casks. Huge thanks to our brewery partners this year for their generosity and support. Each of these breweries have also each taken a graduate intern as part of the program.
