Along with the staff at Crown Isle, we strive to create an inclusive environment where members of all skill levels can compete, improve their game, and build lasting friendships through organized events, friendly competition, and shared experiences on one of Vancouver Island’s premier golf courses.

Values

Integrity: We uphold the traditions and rules of golf, playing with honesty and maintaining the highest standards of sportsmanship both on and off the course.

Camaraderie: We believe golf is better shared. We cultivate strong bonds among members through regular competitions, social events, and the mutual support that defines our club culture.

Excellence: We encourage continuous improvement in our game while celebrating achievements at every level. From beginners to single-digit handicappers, we support each member’s journey to play their best golf.

Respect: We treat our fellow members, the course, and the game itself with respect. We honor the etiquette and traditions that make golf a fantastic game while embracing the diversity of our membership.

Community: We are stewards of Crown Isle and active contributors to the broader golfing community. We take pride in hosting quality events, maintaining strong relationships with the course, and representing our club with distinction.

Crown Isle Cup Points System

The Crown Isle Cup is our premier season-ending event, with invitations extended to the top 36 point earners from the season. Points are accumulated throughout the year based on participation and performance in Men’s Club events.

How Points Are Awarded:

Members earn points by participating in designated Men’s Club events, with point values reflecting the significance and scope of each competition:

  • Major Championships (250 points): The Woodpecker and Club Championship Weekend represent our most prestigious events and offer the highest point values
  • Special Events (100 points): The Men’s Opening Scramble, Captain’s Cup, and Flag Day provide substantial point-earning opportunities
  • Matchplay Competitions (75 points): Both Singles and Doubles Net Matchplay brackets reward competitive match participation, with a maximum of 150 total matchplay points available across multiple matchplay events
  • Men’s Night (50 points): A one-time allocation for registering for the season-long Men’s Night Competition

Qualifying for the Crown Isle Cup:

Points are tallied and standings are communicated throughout the season. The system is designed to reward broad participation across different event types and consistency across the full season, rather than success in just one or two competitions. By competing in a variety of events—from scrambles to matchplay to major championships—members can steadily build their point totals and work toward qualifying for the Crown Isle Cup.

Interclub matches are among the most exciting events on our calendar! Represent Crown Isle in friendly competition against fellow Vancouver Island clubs. These team matches bring out the best in our players and create lasting memories both home and away. Each interclub requires 12 players committed to both matches. Golf and meal to follow each interclub day.

NOTE – When registration opens for each one, you must be available to play both the home and away matches for that particular interclub.

June 16th & 23rd – Crown Isle vs Pheasant Glen Take on Pheasant Glen in our first interclub series of the season! Away match at Pheasant Glen on June 16th, then defend our turf at Crown Isle on June 23rd.

August 4th & 25th – Crown Isle vs Fairwinds Battle Fairwinds in our second interclub series! Away match at Fairwinds on August 4th, then the home rematch at Crown Isle on August 25th.
